Dr. Anne Marie Kuhny (Wheaton), a piano professor and music educator, offers private lessons to aspiring musicians in a warm, supportive environment. Dr. Kuhny is a highly prepared pianist and educator with a Doctorate in piano performance, along with degrees in piano pedagogy (teaching piano to children) and music history. This full and well-rounded background allows Dr. Kuhny to teach piano repertoire, technique, ear-training, theory, and history in order to provide each student with an individualized plan for growth.  Being both a performer and a pedagogue gives her special insight to teach students effectively at all levels.  Dr. Kuhny is a national leader in ear-training first (Suzuki) as well as having extensive experience with other traditional (music-reading first) methods. She is a Suzuki Piano Teacher Trainer offering training and certification to teachers worldwide. Her professional Wheaton studio has two Steinway grand pianos, one for the teacher and one for the student, accelerating progress at every lesson.
